I dont think spending more on the GPU makes sense, considerding current pricing. But if the game is really CPU-heavy i might want to get a 5800x instead. (assuming it reduces loading times and such). And maybe a RTX3050 is overkill for CK3, i dont know. CK3 isnt exactly the game people benchmark so its a bit harder to get info on whats worth it.
Did you adjust Render scale (100% means your chosen resolution) or GUI scale setting in graphics options? ahh thats it. i must have lowered it to 50%. sorted. much appreciated mate. thank you. #2. At least some were last verified for version 2.7. There are two parts to graphics modding: Assets (images or models), stored inside /gfx folder. Logical names (starting with GFX_ prefix) mapping to these assets, defined inside /interface/*.gfx files. Logical names are then either referenced from other script files, or are based on naming
But you can try to lower graphics just in case. Here are a few things you can do. In video tab: - Play in (borderless) windowed mode. - Lower resolution. - Set multisample to 0. Go to \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II and open setting.txt: - Set draw_trees to no. - Set draw_rivers to no.
Just got the game. I'm using an RTX 2070 laptop. On games that uses a lot graphic power, the laptop runs fine because those kind of games usually doesn't use a lot of CPU power, so even if the GPU heats up, the ambient temperature still okay. CK3 however, even with default settings, both GPU and CPU runs hot and it melts my laptop xD.
Graphic settings won't save bug. Every time I return to the game none of my graphic settings save. I have already tried reinstalling the game and issue still persist. Last edited by Professor Heisenberg ; Dec 23, 2023 @ 3:02am. Crusader Kings III > Community Support > Topic Details.
